This is a spectacular black colt who is an instant standout. Rinaldo R is very quiet and seriously adventurous. His paddock at Heatherbrae also houses cross-country schooling fences. There is a mound which is some 15 feet high with fences on top of it and a very steep approach and descent either side. Rinaldo R will gallop up to the top flat out, brake to a bone-jarring halt then rear and paw at the air whilst he looks out over the world. Then he does a type of corbette and gallops off down the other side - simply exhilarating to watch!
Rinaldo R is out of Marge R who is a full sister to the Grand Prix horse Moscow ridden by Adam Vellere. Marge R is by the Grand Prix stallion Richmeed Medallion (Ann-Maree Lourey) and has produced a number of top-priced auction horses which can be found in the hands of some of Australia's top international riders in Mary Hanna and Sue Hearn. This colt is something else!
